Leadership isn’t just about guiding others—it’s about how we lead ourselves. I had the privilege of co-hosting a powerful professional development session with Jennifer Germaine, where we invited professionals to dive deep into their inner world and awaken their leadership mindset.
This wasn’t your typical leadership workshop. It wasn’t about learning to delegate better or run more efficient meetings—though those things matter. Instead, we explored who you are as a leader, and more importantly, how you want to show up in your life, your practice, and your relationships.
Let’s walk through some of the key takeaways.
Leadership begins with self-awareness. Each of us sees the world through our own unique lens—a lens shaped by experience, values, and even past wounds. We challenged participants to ask:
The answers to these questions lay the foundation for authentic, values-driven leadership.
Awakening your leadership mindset requires us to shift out of autopilot. We identified common problem areas—feeling stuck, disconnected from our team, or unfulfilled in our roles—and reframed them as opportunities for realignment.
We asked: What if these external frustrations were internal signals? What if they were showing us where we’ve gone out of alignment with our core values?
True leadership comes from within. Your vision, values, and principles are not just guiding lights—they’re your decision-making compass. When you’re clear on these, everything else—from client service to business growth—flows more smoothly.
Leadership isn’t reserved for internal operations. How we lead our clients matters just as much. Bigger-picture thinking means moving from a reactive mindset to one that’s proactive, thoughtful, and aligned with your long-term mission.
Two of the biggest leadership blind spots are integrity and fulfillment:
When we lead with curiosity instead of assumptions, we unlock deeper engagement, honesty, and alignment. And sometimes, we uncover misalignment that needs to be addressed head-on.
We wrapped up the session with a simple yet powerful framework:
When you master these four areas, you don’t just lead—you inspire.
Leadership doesn’t start in the boardroom. It starts in your beliefs, your vision, and your daily choices. Whether you're managing a team, building a practice, or supporting clients through life-altering challenges, the kind of leader you are shapes every interaction.
If this resonated with you, I invite you to take five quiet minutes today. Reconnect with what drives you. Revisit your values. And ask yourself honestly: Am I leading in alignment with the life I want to create?
Let’s keep the conversation going. If you’d like to explore this more, or if you’re curious about upcoming leadership workshops, feel free to reach out.
You were made to lead—and it starts from within.
